Journey To Open
This road has been long and hard. My family had a small business when I was growing up and when I was teenager I thought about how I would feel if I had to take over the business from my father. I was not thrilled by the idea of selling outdoor goods but the idea of having my own business did appeal to me. Then when I rewatched Practical Magic I realized I wanted to have a store just like Verbena Botanicals. But with my creative streak I also wanted to make knit items and other handcrafted household goods. Through lots of research, creative stumbles and fear I have finally taken the leap and brought the dream into reality. Right now I’m starting small just like I was encouraged by family. I had a conversation with my cousin. He stayed true to his dream and made it a successful reality. He encouraged me to take the risk, that I didn’t have to have everything perfect right at the start. That I could start small and grow it into a beautiful thing over time. So that’s what I intend to do. I’m starting with the tie blankets and then I will over time add the products that I was inspired to create by Bitsy. I’ll tell ya’ll more about Bitsy over time but just know she helps motivate me and keeps the dream alive.
Right now our inventory is limited but we will be adding more over time. I am working ceaslessly to make the products that will bring a piece of magic and joy to others lives. Because, ultimately that is the goal here. I did not set out with the idea of becoming a successful entrepenure my only hope and dream for this business is that I can make something special for other people out there. Whenever I made a hand made gift for a friend or family member the light in their eyes and their shocked statement of “You made this for ME?” is what brings me joy. Everyone is deserving of that love of a personally made item. That is why, if you like the idea of an item I have but it doesn’t necessarily fit your vibe I am more then happy to try to make the perfect item for you. The inventory in stock now is based on material I have access to. If something is sold out just reach out and of course more will be added every day. My next product that I hope to add are the gnomes. There is a myth behind them that I will write about and gives them their product name but they are most recognizable as Gnomes. They are little stuffed counter decorations hand made. I will be added two types with several variants. Variants are based on the gnomes personality but the types are our decore gnomes and out scented gnomes. The scented gnomes will be made with herbs and spices in them to be used as a sachet to bring lovely aroma into your home in the shape of a cute little shelf gnome.
